the large 130mm (5") lens is aspheric which means you can use the lens edge to edge, not just the centre part, this is much easier on the eye, and aids focusiing, along with the huge depth of field.

The light is powered by a 6500k daylight 16 watt fluorescent tube which is shaped all the way around the lamp for maximum shadow free light.
The lamp is sealed behind a cover which makes these suitable for medical, and food use ase well as for craftling.
